Summer Training

The BHS Summer Training Program
is a great opportunity for student-athletes to make new friends, improve their
fitness, and have fun in a structured and supportive environment.
Starting on Monday, June 23,
the BHS cross country team will meet twice a week to get in shape for the 2008
season (Summer workout schedule) and to prepare for Red Raider Cross
Country Camp at Fort Casey on August 25-26. Like BHS Cross Country, the camp is a time
for team, training, fitness, and fun, but space is limited; we can only bring
20 runners. Since this is a rigorous
athletic camp, all participants need to arrive fit, healthy, and ready to run.
To earn a spot at the camp, you will need:
· consistent
participation in the summer
workouts
· clear
communication with coach McClement regarding your training, work, and
vacation schedules
· to be able
to complete two loops “down the creek” (without walking)
· to meet
team time standards for one lake lap (boys – 15:30, girls – 19:00)
