  1. Quiz...based on Wednesday's reading. (Yes, you may use your notes!)
  2. Review summer test.
  3. Outline of Chapter 2: Edwards...sort of...
  4. Creating a Constitution - Key Constitutional Concepts
  5. Read Federalist 51 and complete the Federalist 51 Reading Guide. You will find Federalist 51 on page 743 in Edwards.

    Reading Guide Questions:

      1. According to Madison, how should the structure of government work to preserve liberty?
      2. What features of government help to insure the independence of the branches from one another?
      3. Why is power not evenly distributed between the branches? What are the remedies for this?
      4. How are these principles uniquely adapted to the federal system created by the Constitution?
      5. In what ways can the rights of the minority be protected from the will of the majority and how does Madison argue the Constitution provides this protection?
  6. You will also have a vocabulary quiz over Chapter 2 on Monday!
