I moved to Bellingham in 1999 and now consider it home. Before moving here I lived in Seattle, but I grew up in Midway, Washington, which is located halfway between Seattle and Tacoma. Growing up I attended school in the Federal Way School District and later served the district through AmeriCorps, the national community service organization. My experience in AmeriCorps cultivated a personal mission to make a difference through education. Since then I have served various schools in different capacities. Currently I have the privilege of serving Bellingham High School as a staff member of the Life Skills Program and Social Studies Department.
